 Hello everybody, You are reading this newspost because some time ago the Wireplay box (dedicated server) was taken down due to re-organisations and we were left without a place to host our Quake II Jump server for quite a while. But now we finally have a new server location that is hosted on a private rented box paid for by ClanBase Radio.
You will find all of the old times and statistics, replays etc as they were left when the server went down. For the moment I will still be using the old Wireplay website, which is http://q2jump.wireplay.co.uk The site has been adapted to the new IP to reflect the html stats, but if your interest in the return of the server, with stats that go back to early 2005, proves plenty, I plan to launch a new site on a new domain for all your stats and download needs. For now I just wanted to let you know the server is back and for you to spread the word to anybody else who might be interested in playing. The new IP for the server is 85.17.208.106:27950
Again, for now check http://q2jump.wireplay.co.uk for all the relevant info or to submit your new made maps to be added to the server.

Jump Server Down, But Not Out

Hello everybody,
By now most of you noticed the server being down for a couple of days already. This is because, once again, something in the new box has died. Unfortunately Wireplay will not restore this box because has gone through some changes and all the boxes have been replaced with new machines and are all under linux, but there is not really any space for our mod with all the files and HDD space it requires. According to Wireplay, the game is too old.
As some of you know, the Wireplay box was also home to the AutoDJ of ClanBase Radio and that needs to be win32 in order to run. So right now I'm trying to work something out with the Wireplay chiefs. If that doesn't work out we at ClanBase Radio will hire a server in Germany to host our AutoDJ and that will then also be the new home of the server. It will, in that case, no longer be a Wireplay server, but it will be the same stats and maps etc.
So keep an eye on this page, because as soon as I know what's going to happen I will let you all know so you can get back to your fav game :)

 Hello all, just a quick note to those wanting to have their name changed on the q2jump server:
Ask me for the name change and wait for confirmation BEFORE SETTING TIMES WITH THE NEW NAME. If you set times with the new name the old name cannot be set to the new one unless the times already set with the new name are removed.
Keep this in mind when wanting a name change.
On another note, I'll soon update all the downloads so you can get mappacks, textures, binaries etc, all up to date. So keep an eye out for another update soon.
