 Hooray and give it up for Wireplay!
After a good 3 weeks of downtime due to a broken motherboard, Wireplay has provided us with a new box.
Thanks go out to Qube and SteveP for reinstalling the OS and their continued support of our little Quake II community.
You can play the server on the same old IP address and the stats are just like you left them.
So get busy and beat those times that you guys have been setting for a good 4 years since the last reset.
Have fun and see out there!

Tournament Final Tonight!

The date of the final of the jump tournament #5 has been moved to today. It will be played on hahn's server at 21:00 CET sunday november 1st.
More info can be found on the q2scene website.
As for our own Wireplay servers. Wireplay head management promised me this would be resolved tomorrow (november 2nd) at latest, so let's hope we'll have our own servers and statistics back soon!

You may have noticed that q2scene.net is down, therefor you'll hopefully look here!
The final will be Thursday 29th of October, 22:00 CET (10:00 pm). This will not be postponed!
We'll hopefully get up a GTV server, and Jehar will shoutcast it at tastyspleen.tv, so make sure you don't miss it!
Tell everyone you know! This will be a jump-final for the history books!
On another note, I am still plugging to get the Wireplay people busy to replace our own server so we can move on again with our own stats and IP.
Watch this page for any news, I will keep you updated!

It seems that after examination the motherboard of our box has gone to visit Peter's gate, in other words, it died.
I am now waiting for the Wireplay head to look wether there is a spare box we can move to. So everybody light some incense and pray to whichever god you believe in and hopefully we'll be up and running again soon.
If we get a new box the HDD of the old one will be swapped so all statistics will be in place if this happens.
For now our apologies for the downtime, but sit tight and keep an eye on this page for any new info.

Yes, you've read correctly, you can win money when you complete a map for a change. This concerns _SK3L3T0R_'s new map called "draxi6".
Draxi (SK3L3T0R_) has issued a competition and will pay the winner out of his own pocket.
The first person to complete this map will be awarded €25!!!
The rules are simple, all you need is a paypal account and the contest will be held on the Wireplay server only!
If you're the first one to complete the map, tell draxi (aka _SK3L3T0R_) your email-adress for the paypal account, on the server and he will send you the money!
This to be sure that we'll get the right person!
The map will be uploaded on sunday september 20th 2009 at 14:00 hours GMT. The maximum number of clients will be increased and the map will run untill we have a winner.
The announcement is to try to get you all informed ahead of time so everybody has a fair shot at winning the €25.

NO RESET!

There was some talk about a reset coming from a few people, including myself.
But instead I choose to clean up the stats from cheaters and fakers as much as I can.
Due to some bans that were placed it is possible you will not be able to connect if you are Polish and have NETIA as your ISP. If you have the chance to connect from a different network I suggest you do that, otherwise find out if you can obtain a static IP from NETIA.
If you have a static NETIA IP please email me and I will add it to exceptions.
As for the reset, as the topic suggests, there will NOT be a reset.
The mod update is not certain yet, but if there is news you will read it here.
